About Us
A unique South Australian GTO that is 100% dedicated to the civil construction industry
Civil Apprenticeships and Careers Ltd is a Group Training Organisation with the following charitable purposes:
- to support and generate apprenticeship and traineeship employment opportunities in the civil construction industry, where the continuity of employment is provided for, and where the quality and scope of training available to apprentices and trainees in the civil construction industry is of the highest standard.
- will seek to ensure that apprentices and trainees have continuity of employment and quality training in a safe and supportive environment to ultimately achieve successful completion of their qualification.
For over 50 years, the Civil Contractors Federation SA (CCF SA) has been the peak industry body, representing, promoting and connecting the civil construction industry in South Australia.
The CCF SA has revolutionised the training and employment opportunities of those entering or already employed in Civil Construction and related industries delivering a declaration of trade in 2019 – this means there is now a structured apprenticeship pathway in to the industry, which aligns nationally to meet workforce development needs.
The South Australian Training & Skills Commission announced the declaration of trade in June 2019, and CCF SA formed and proudly supports new GTO entity Civil Apprenticeships and Careers to facilitate employment and pathway opportunities.
The Civil Apprenticeships and Careers (CAAC) Group Training Organisation (GTO) is a purpose built entity employing trainees and apprentices in the civil construction sector and placing them with industry to facilitate the completion of their training contracts.
Together with Civil Contractors Federation SA we exist to support new industry entrants through apprenticeship pathways and ensure they have a long working life in the civil construction industry.
Civil Apprenticeships and Careers Ltd complies with the National Standards for Group Training Organisations
